Alumna Visits |
February 2022
The Maths Department had former student (and Cambridge Maths Graduate) Sophie Maclean in school this week. She spoke to groups of Year 10 about Careers in Maths, Year 12 about 'How to Get Rich Quick' and Year 8 about the use mathematical applications of colour. It was lovely to see her and for her to inspire current students!
Sophie currently runs a Maths outreach programme and is also the editor of Chalkdust an online Maths magazine. In addition to volunteering to help current students, Sophie is one of our growing number of OGA members who has signed up to offer direct careers assistance to fellow members. Please visit our Member-to-Member Assistance Programme for more information.
