Violet Hands

Violet passed away on 5th January 2022, just a few weeks away from her 100th birthday.  WGGS Archivist, Jill Wittingham, was able to find the following information about Violet's time at WGGS and beyond.  Miss Hands became Dr Hands in the late 1950s.  She lived a busy life in retirement and, according to her family, 'had a very lively brain until the end'.   Nicola Marlow (Class of '64) kept in touch with Violet until 'Violet's sight made it imossible to write any more'.
